The University of Oxford acapella group Out of the Blue are back at Edinburgh fringe for their 20th year for an hour packed with tight harmonies and choreography along with a varied setlist of fun musical Arrangements and stunning vocals.
Performing a wide array of songs with crowd pleasing choreography and showing off their vocal abilities, it’s not hard to see why they have had a successful 20-year run.
My highlights include a sassy and fun performance of Lady Gaga “Telephone” and a magical Frozen mashup packed with insane vocals and high notes galore. These are great examples of how versatile their repertoire is.
Angus performed a beatbox solo that had the audience shocked and amazed at his skills and talent. And Theo led a fun and cheerful cover of “girl, put your records on” .
Vocally, my favourite performance was the incredible Rendition of “Drivers licence” as it was breathtaking, emotional, and vulnerable. Simply stunning.
If you are a fan of glee or pitch perfect or looking for a show for all the family, don’t miss Out of the Blue at Assembly George Square until 26th August
