“moments of pure joy and kilt-swinging good times and raw heartbreak.“

Starring musical theatre legend Frances Ruffelle and West End leading man Norman Bowman, “The Scot and the Showgirl” is a new musical based on a true-ish love story that began at Edinburgh Waverley Station.
The story is presented in a cabaret-style performance, alternating between musical theatre classics and Scottish favourites. This setlist is clever and fits the storytelling beautifully, with moments of pure joy and kilt-swinging good times and raw heartbreak.
Frances and Norman have a raw, heartwarming, and charming chemistry together, complementing each other’s personalities and vocals perfectly.
One standout moment in the show was their rendition of Maury Yeston’s “Unusual Way,” featuring spine-chilling and stunning vocals and harmonies. Frances’s encore performance of “On My Own” showcased her raw and beautifully aged vocals and delivered a nostalgic and emotional performance, making it a memorable moment.

Catch “The Scot and the Showgirl” at Pleasance Dome until 26th August at 3.10 pm
