My lockdown favourites

Here in Scotland we are into our second national lockdown of the current global pandemic caused by covid_19 . So I thought I’d share five of my favourite things that are helping me get through this lockdown.

Lounge wear

First up is my lounge wear sets from nutmeg clothing at morrisons, these features in my last blog post too but I had to mention them again as they are definitely a lockdown essential for me. They are so comfy and easy to wear. I also have one from yours clothing too.

Nintendo switch lite

Next up is my Nintendo switch lite. Mine is in the colour coral. I play it most days and mainly play animal crossing currently and love playing online with friends too. I currently also have zelda, spyro and super Mario brothers games too but I haven’t played them an awful lot yet as my go to game is definitely animal crossing right now.

Podcast

SHMA. During the first lockdown I started listening to Shagged married annoyed podcast by Chris and Rosie Ramsay from the beginning and it has definitely been something that has helped me through the uncertain times And always puts a smile on my face.

Video call and stop the bus

During the first lockdown my best friends and I started video calling each other every night to play stop the bus for a few hours. And of course when lockdown 2.0 started we picked up where we left off last time and we have now added a weekly quiz night into the mix too.

For those who don’t know what stop the bus is, it’s a word game of categories. You have set categories (we play with six) , like boys and girls name, country, band or singer , movies etc. Someone then does the alphabet and is told to stop to pick a letter. You then all race to fill in the categories with a word beginning with the chosen letter and the first person to finish shouts stop the bus and everyone has to stop. You get 10 points for every answer dropping too 5 points if it’s the same as someone else.

Adult colouring books

Finally, my pick is my adult colouring books. They are great for distracting your mind, relaxing and a great way to express yourself too. I have a large collection of different ones but have included my favourite ones.

And that’s my five favourite things that are helping me survive lockdown. What are yours?
